About Anna Grimm

My name is Anna.  I am mom to two amazing kids and married to my best friend. I am a crazy fan of boxer dogs, and am thankful everyday for the simple ways our one-year old boxer reminds me to enjoy the beautiful moments of life.

I am a self-taught photographer. I have taken pictures my whole life and remember to this day sitting with a judge at our 4-H County Fair as an elementary student and talking about composition and LOVING it!  I also remember the blue ribbon that picture of a pig got.  Photography is and always has been, a way to express myself and experience the world. I believe in the goodness of people and the blessedness in relationships, and seek to capture that beauty in a photograph.

My family moved back home to Minnesota the fall of 2015 after living in Michigan for the last ten years. While we never imagined leaving Michigan, it is wonderful to be home and finally near family again.

Shopping at thrift and consignment stores is a therapeutic adventure. I’ve recently learned to cut my own hair and I love making my own laundry soap.

Horses will forever hold a special place in my heart.  As a ninth grader, I trained a two-year-old Quarter Horse and showed her in 4-H. The project was one of my greatest accomplishments. Until we can get our own horses again, I get my horse-fix at Acres for Life, a facility where I practice Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (I’m also a counselor :) )

I believe God will show me the way. When I struggle to see it, I have found the solution usually lies in getting out of my own way, quieting my mind and opening my heart.

I look forward to hearing from you!
